Please let me take just a moment to let you know a little bit about who I am.

My Family:

I’m married, and I have four children and four beautiful grandchildren. Here I’m enjoying a day off with two of my kids, my daughter-in-law, and three of my “babies.”

My Career:

I’m a semi-retired accountant and part-time teacher, and I live in Southeast Texas, USA.

I worked in accounting for about 20 years. I liked the work, and I made a halfway
decent living. What I didn’t like was that I couldn’t help very many people.

There are only so many hours in a day. and I was working for someone else — a J-O-B!

So I got my degree and started teaching. I love it, and am always looking for ways to help even more people.

But after a few years I realized that retirement was getting closer and I was still
just trading time for money. If I don’t work I don’t get paid.

Let’s face it — we both know I’ll NEVER reach financial independence as a teacher!
So I started looking at various ways to earn an extra paycheck from home.

I have been in Network Marketing off and on since 1980 on a part-tie basis. Surely
there was a way to make this home-based business provide the retirement income
I’ll soon need.

SOMEBODY was making a nice paycheck off all that time and money I put into MLM opportunities and education, but it sure wasn’t me!

Then recently someone shared a book that literally changed my life. It proved to
me that my struggle and lack of success in making money from home truly is NOT
my fault. I now see how Network Marketing really CAN work for me!

My Hobbies:

I enjoy numerous arts and crafts such as woodworking, ceramics, soap and candle-making, quilting and machine embroidery, just to name a few. I’m an avid reader — mostly historical fiction and mysteries. I also enjoy reading personal development books.

I really love Network Marketing because it gives me the freedom to spend time
with my family and to create pretty things in my shop. And I’m my own boss!!
I can take a day (or a week) off when I want to and still get paid.

That’s what time freedom is all about. This photo was taken at a recent craft show. I was showing off — and selling — some of the hand-turned pens, candles and other crafts I make when I take a break from business.

My Goals:

One of my goals at this stage in my life is to help other people avoid the pitfalls,
traps and downright scams that give MLM a bad name.

If I can save a fellow Network Marketer some of the pain and needless expense I’ve encountered over the years, I’ll have made a small return on the help and guidance I have received.

I am especially grateful to my personal mentors such as Tom “Big Al” Schreiter, Michael Dloughy and Cynthia Breed as well as all my friends in Mentoring for Free. With their help I’m well on my way to success and financial independence.
